Semey State Medical University is considered to be one of the best universities of Kazakhstan. It was founded in 1952. The university was initially named as Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute. After more than four decades, the name of the university was changed to Semey State Medical University by the orders of the Health Services Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The very first batch of students got admission under the medicine faculty of SSMU in the year 1953. Gradually, other faculties were also started in the university. These faculties include the pediatrics which began in 1963, stomatology faculty in 1991, Medico-prophylactical, pharmaceutical faculty and General Medicine faulty was started in 2003. In the year 1984, SSMU started the post- diploma education in Pavlodor city. Every year around 1000 doctors pursue their post- diploma education here.

Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU) is one of the top medical universities of Kazakhstan. The university was established in the year 1930 in the rural area of Almaty city. The foundations of the university were first laid as of Turkistan State University a short time before the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics after the choice of Nursultan NAZARBAYEV, the Leader of Kazakhstan, dated 06 6, 1991. The standard quest of the University was determined as "improving the location of Turkistan, the historical science and culture centre of Asia". Upon "The General Declaration", which was printed in the Almaty Peak, organized on 29 March-1 May 1992, between Nursultan NAZARBAYEV, the President of Kazakhstan, and Suleyman DEMIREL, the Primary Minister of Turkish Republic, and "The Cooperation Arrangement in Fields of Education, Science, Culture and Sports", that was signed between two countries on May one particular, 1992, it was made the decision that Turkistan State University or college shall be the common university of both countries, and The Memorandum of Understanding concerning the concern was signed on The month of september 28, 1992, in Ankara.

Orel State Medical University Russia formerly Orel State Pedagogical Institute/ University is the university in Central Russian City Oryol in Russia. Today Orel State Medical University is a member of Association of the Classical Universities of Russia. Officially, the Orel State University was founded in 1931 with the establishment of Orel Industrial-Pedagogical Institute.
